As a partner, you pay a commission on the storage fee earned from hourly or daily storage bookings. This commission covers the cost of connecting you with travelers through the LuggageHero platform — including the booking system, payments, customer support, and marketing.
LuggageHero invoices your location at the end of each payout period. Commission and service charges are deducted from the traveler payments LuggageHero has collected on your behalf, and the net amount is paid out to you.
Commission rates:

Example (pre-arrival booking): If a traveler pays $10.00 for storage, your base earnings before service fees would be $4.50.
Example (walk-in booking): If a traveler pays $10.00 for storage via your HeroCode, your base earnings before service fees would be $8.00.
Note on the storage fee: The traveler pays the storage fee. It does not include the mandatory service fee or optional insurance — both of which go entirely to LuggageHero and are not part of your commission calculation.
Minimum Bag Guarantee
Regardless of discounts, short storage durations, or promotional pricing, you are guaranteed a minimum earnings floor per bag stored. LuggageHero tops up the difference automatically at the end of each payout period if your average per-bag earnings fall below this threshold.
Your earnings floor is always protected. Discount codes and promotional campaigns have no negative impact on your payout — the minimum bag guarantee ensures your per-bag earnings never fall below the guaranteed rate.

You earn a bonus every time you reach 20 walk-in bookings via the HeroCode. This is in addition to your regular walk-in earnings.

Displaying your HeroCode signage prominently at your location entrance is the fastest way to reach the threshold
The bonus is paid automatically alongside your regular payout once the threshold is reached.

Service charge
Each booking includes a service charge, which covers platform administration and payment processing costs.
The service charge consists of:
$0.25 per bag — LuggageHero platform administration fee (standard rate; may vary slightly by region — your payout statement shows the exact rate applied)
1.9%–2.4% of the order total + $0.30 per transaction — Stripe payment processing fee (rate varies by market and payment method)
The service charge appears on your payout statement under "Service Charge." You can view Stripe's standard pricing at stripe.com/pricing.
Tips
Tips are 100% yours. LuggageHero does not deduct any commission or service fees from tips.
Tips are displayed separately in your payout summary and processed as part of your regular payout. This ensures all your earnings — including tips — are paid together according to your payout schedule.
Tax responsibilities
As a partner, you are responsible for understanding and meeting your local tax obligations, including:
VAT or GST
Other indirect taxes
Income tax on your LuggageHero earnings
VAT may apply to specific fees depending on your country's regulations. For more details, see "Understanding Value Added Tax (VAT) and How It Applies to You."
Deductions from traveler payments
When a traveler pays for storage, LuggageHero automatically deducts the following before calculating your payout:
The commission (45% or 20%, depending on booking type)
The service charge (per-bag admin fee + Stripe processing fee)
Any outstanding adjustments (e.g., partial refunds or corrections)
The remaining amount is your net payout for the period.
Payout frequency
Your payout is issued on the 7th of each payout period.
Partners who joined on or after 1 January 2026 are on a monthly payout schedule by default.
Partners who joined before 1 January 2026 can request a change to their payout frequency by contacting partner@luggagehero.com.
Once issued, funds arrive in your bank account within 5–10 business days via Stripe.
No payout without a verified payout account. You must have a payout method configured and verified in your dashboard before any payment can be issued.
Go to Dashboard → Payout → Add Payout Method to set this up.
If your payout and dashboard revenue don't match
There are several reasons your dashboard revenue may differ from your payout amount:
Direct payments: Cash or in-store payments made outside the platform are not included in your LuggageHero payout. If you received a direct payment from a traveler, report it to partner@luggagehero.com — direct payments are deducted from your payout to keep the accounting accurate.
VAT: May be added to fees depending on your jurisdiction.
Stripe processing fee: Varies by market and payment method — the exact amount is shown on your payout statement.
Currency exchange: If your location's currency differs from your payout currency, your financial institution may apply a conversion fee. LuggageHero does not charge for currency conversion.
Adjustments: Partial or full refunds issued after a booking may reduce your total payout for the period.
