We understand that seeing more than one payment line on your card statement can be confusing. This article explains why this happens and what it means for your booking.
Why Two Payment Lines Appear
When you create a booking with LuggageHero, we take two steps to make sure your payment is secure and accurate:
Reservation (Authorization Hold)
When you book, LuggageHero places a temporary hold (reservation) on your payment method for the estimated amount.
This ensures funds are available and confirms your booking.
This reserved amount will appear as a pending line on your statement.
Final Charge (Captured Payment)
Once your booking is complete, after your bags are collected and the storage timer has ended, LuggageHero captures the final payment.
This is the actual charge for the storage you used.
How Long Will the Reserved Amount Appear?
The reserved (pending) amount may still show on your card statement even after the final charge has been processed.
Your bank usually removes this within 3–5 business days, though timing may vary depending on your card provider.
Important to Know
One-Time Payment Only
LuggageHero is a one-time payment platform. You only pay when you create and use a booking.
We do not run subscriptions or recurring transactions.
Final Payment Always Matches Your Booking
You will only ever be charged once per booking.
Any pending reservations that remain visible on your statement will drop off automatically.
