Understanding Currency and Fees in LuggageHero Bookings

We support local currencies to provide a seamless booking experience

Updated over a week ago

At LuggageHero, we support multiple currencies to provide a seamless booking experience.

This article aims to clarify the potential fees associated with currency conversions, third-party charges, and cross-border transactions.

Currency Selection and Exchange Rates

The currency you pay for your luggage storage booking depends on the country where you make the reservation. We support USD ($), Euro (€), GBP (£), and DKK (kr) as the designated currencies for different locations.

Displayed Price and Valid Currency

The prices displayed on LuggageHero are specific to the city you choose for storing your luggage. The booking will be completed with the price and currency valid for that particular city ($/€/£/kr).

Currency Conversion and Third-Party Fees

If you make payments in a currency different from the designated currency of your payment method, your credit or bank card issuer may apply a currency conversion rate or fees to your payment. It is advisable to contact your provider to understand the costs that may be applicable in such cases. LuggageHero is not responsible for any fees imposed by third-party payment processors or financial institutions.

Cross-Border Fees

In some instances, additional fees may appear on your bank statement or the charged amount may differ from what appeared in the LuggageHero receipt popup. We recommend contacting your credit or bank card issuer for more help if this happens. If your bank considers LuggageHero's processing entity as international, they may charge cross-border fees even if the transaction was processed in the original currency of your payment method. Unfortunately, if your card-issuing bank imposes these fees, LuggageHero cannot refund them.

LuggageHero supports USD ($), Euro (€), GBP (£), and DKK (kr) as the currencies for bookings, depending on the location where you store your luggage. It is important to know the potential currency conversion charges imposed by third-party payment processors or banks.

If you have any concerns or questions about currency, fees, or cross-border charges, we recommend you contact your payment provider for clarification.

Please keep in mind that while we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, it is always best to consult with your payment provider directly to ensure a clear understanding of any potential fees or charges associated with your specific payment method.
