If your solution with HotelsHero comes with the pin-coded door entry system, please follow the guidelines below to ensure optimal security:
1. Ensure the Door Automatically Locks
It's essential to check regularly that the luggage room door automatically locks after each use. If you’re using our manual door lock system, ensure that the lock engages correctly. If the door isn't locking as it should, follow this manual to set the lock to secure automatically after use.
2. Regularly Change the Pin-Code (For Manual Door Lock Systems)
For hotels using a manual PIN system, we recommend changing the door code frequently to minimize the risk of unauthorized access. A weekly change is advised, but more frequent changes might be necessary depending on guest traffic.
3. Limit Access to the Pin-Code
Ensure that only authorized personnel are aware of the door code. The code should not be written or shared insecurely (e.g., paper slips). For security, the door code should be shared with guests only via the QR code system we provide, which automatically grants them temporary access.
