If your card is declined or your payment fails when booking luggage storage, don’t worry. It’s usually easy to fix.
This guide explains what to do if your payment fails and how to complete your booking successfully.

1. Retry the Payment or Use a Different Card
If your payment fails on the checkout page:
Retry the payment using the same card.
Often, temporary network or bank issues cause the failure.
If the payment still doesn’t go through, click “Use another payment card” or go to:
Booking Options → Payment OptionsAdd a new card and try again.
💡 Tip: Make sure your card supports online international transactions and has sufficient funds available.
2. Pay in the Shop (If Online Payment Still Fails)
If the retry doesn’t work, you can choose to pay directly at the storage location.
To do this:
Click “Pay in the shop” on your booking page.
This will notify the storage manager that you’ll pay in person.
Once you arrive, complete payment directly with the staff.
Show your pick-up confirmation screen at checkout as proof of payment.
⚠️ Important: The “Pay in the shop” option should only be used if the online payment cannot be completed.
LuggageHero’s insurance and booking protection only apply to bookings created and paid for through the platform.
3. Why a Payment Might Be Declined
Common reasons a payment may fail:

Insufficient funds or expired card | Use a valid card or update your details |
Bank blocked international/online charge | Contact your bank and approve the transaction |
Temporary technical issue | Retry payment after a few minutes |
Incorrect card details | Double-check the number, date, and CVV |
4. Still Having Trouble?
If your payment continues to fail:
Try a different browser or device (Safari, Chrome, or Edge are recommended).
Check with your bank to ensure they’re not blocking the transaction.
